Liebster Award!

Hi!!

I've been nominated for the Liebster Award by three lovely ladies: Lauren at Lolly's Nail Paints, Lexie at BlackFox Nails, and The Frustrated Fashionista, thanks!!

The Deal:

1. The recipient must post 11 fun facts about themselves
2. The recipient must also answer 11 questions created by the award giver
3. The recipient must give the award to 11 new bloggers with less than 200 followers and post 11 questions for them to answer
4. These 11 bloggers must be told they have been given the award
5. They will in turn pass the award on to 11 new bloggers of their choice (no tagging back the award giver)

Fun Facts
1.  I work at a nightclub, the first job I've had that I actually like!

2. The photos of kittens that I put up are litters that have been surrendered to the vet and are too young to be desexed and adopted. It's such a fun age for kittens, they're crazy lol.

3. Even though I love cats, I also love dogs! My dream dog is a German Shepherd.

4. I'm really tall. 5'11. NOT 6'!

5. My Dad tried to brainwash me when I was younger to want to be taller then him (he's 6'4"), I'm so glad that I'm not haha.

6. I'm graduating from Marketing at the end of this year and have nooo idea what to do.

7. I've made an Eve Hypo replica (not very well) to dress up as a Splicer to Comic-Con (didn't end up going in the end, but it will have it's time in the spotlight one day! haha).

8. I also made the Bunny Mask (but I'll probably remake it).

9. I LOOOVE computer games.

10. Currently obsessed with Once Upon A Time.

11. I enjoy watching documentaries, but also love trashy TV (Keeping Up With The Kardashians!).

Questions from Lolly's Nail Paints:
1. Films or Music?
Jeez, that's hard. I'd probably say music because without it I'd have nothing to listen to on the train every day.

2. Chocolate, Crisps or Cake?
Chocolate.

3. Favourite colour nail polish?
I'd have to say red. But it changes all the time. Lately I've been enjoying 'in your face' reds, even though they stain my fingers (I'm looking at you Big Apple Red).

4. Your first memory?
It would have to be when I was about 2, my Mum was yelling at my Dad because we were all going to the beach and he left me with my cousins and they didn't put sun screen on me all day. I was sooooo sunburnt.

5. Have you ever had any nail polish disasters?
Not really. Although this probably means that one's about to happen!

6. When you were younger what did you want to be when you grew up?
I reallllyyyy wanted to do Forensic Science. Then I realised that I hate/am not good at science.

7. What  do you now want to be when you grow up?
Probably something in marketing. I wanted to do video games marketing, none of that is near me though, it's mostly in America. I'll probably end up being a brand manager, which could be fun depending on the product!

8. Has anything ever happened to you what you never thought it would?
I don't think I ever expected to be addicted to nail polish. Like, having 100 polishes in my collection doesn't even bother me, in fact, to me it doesn't look like I have many at all!

9. Do you ever have recurring dreams?
Not really. Most of my dreams are so dull. They're pretty much me going about my everyday life. I remember once during exam blog, I had a dream I was studying. So boring!

10. Do you have any fears? If so, what are they?
Heights & spiders. Worst things in the world.

11. What's the best thing that has happened to you this year?
Nothing really stands out, I imagine that when I graduate, that'll be pretty fun. Haha

A-England - Saint George

Hi!

I present to you......THE MOST PERFECT GREEN EVER!

A-England - Saint George is honestly the most perfect green I've ever seen. It combines my love of emerald greens with holos! As if the colour wasn't awesome enough, all of these photos are taken with only one coat plus top coat!

Unfortunately the sun didn't come out to play today, but the flash give you an idea of what it looks like in the sunlight. Damn Melbourne weather!

So Saint George has made me long for the perfect forest green cream. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Girly Bits - Stormy Skies

Hi again!

I decided that I would post the other polish I got from my first Llarowe haul before I go on my super dooper A-England swatch-stravaganza!

So without further ado I present: Girly Bits - Stormy Skies, a gorgeous blue-grey cream with glitter flecks.

This had a great formula, these photos were taken with two coats and a top coat. It's such a pretty colour, and the bottle is so cute! I love the diamante detail on them!

These photos make me realise how much I need to buy a legit camera. What camera's do you guys suggest?

Coming up next: A-England Swatch-Stravaganza!

(Forgive the awkward book stacking >.<)

See you next time!

A-England - Iseult

Hi again!

It's been so long! I've been wallowing because two of the nails on my swatching hand broke while I was at work last weekend! They're so short and I refuse to make the other good fingers suffer because the other two were weak haha, I imagine that I'll give in and file them down though because it looks a little weird lol!

Today I've got A-England Isuelt to show you. Isuelt is a stunning pale pink with a pearly, sometimes looking blue, shimmer. This colour is perfect for workplaces, I wore it to an interview the other day and it was great!

Apologies for how horrible my cuticles look there! Omg! I didn't even notice when I was taking these photos.

Application and drying time were great, the photos were taken with two coats which is great for a light colour, sometimes they can need up to 3 coats.

I also just got all of my A-England polishes from the sale the other day! So I think I'll be on an A-England polish spree haha! I think  I have 17 of the Mythicals & Legends and I can't wait to swatch them for you guys!

Girly Bits: Purple Potion. My first ever indie!

Hi again!

Today I'm going to show you my first ever indie polishes I recently got from Llarowe!

Girly Bits Stormy Skies & Purple Potion

First off, Purple Potion. This is seriously the best purple glitter I've ever seen. Especially with the little holographic glitter particles in it. I should also note that it's in a clear base.

(Blurred direct sunlight for sparkly goodness)

In all pictures I've got 3 coats and a top coat. It is a top coat eater, so with one layer it still felt a little bumpy. Another problem was the fact that I'm super messy and glitter is a pain to clean up hahaha. Drying time and application were really good, it dried quite quickly, probably in about 15 minutes even with the 3 coats.

I legit can't want to layer this on some polishes. All I need now is more purples!

Tomorrow I'll post the swatches of Stormy Skies! See you then!

80s Night! Neon skittle

Hi again!

It's been so long since I've posted! Last year uni subjects take up so much time!

The other day at work we had an awesome 80s night where all the bar staff got to dress up! So I decided to pretty up my nails with some neon.

(Revlon - Royal)

You can see that this nail had massive shrinkage, so next time I'll have to not use a quick dry top coat. Revlon Royal is a gorgeous electric blue jelly! The best part about this polish is that it dries super quickly, I probably didn't need to use a top coat, but I hate using a top coat on all my nails except one haha. The application is also great, it goes on really evenly and there's no streaks. This is two coats.

(China Glaze - Hang-Ten Toes, Orange You Hot?, Sun Kissed, & I'm With The Lifeguard)

All four of these are from the China Glaze Summer Neon Collection so they've all got the same formula and finish. Each of the colours have a gorgeous shimmer to them, which you can see in the flash photos and direct sunlight (you couldn't see it in the photos outside though).

Application! Seriously, it's good that these colours are pretty, because the application stinks! It went on a little streaky and the drying time was horrible, with two coats I left it to dry for 2 hours and it still wasn't completely dry, which is why Orange You Hot in these pictures is only one coat, it completely smudged and I had to take it off and try again.

During the week I went to the hairdresser and found these super cool products: Colour Bug! Last summer I really wanted to try hair chalking, but for some reason I couldn't work out how to do it. Colour Bug makes hair chalking super easy! You just need to spray hairspray on your hair and then rub it on your hair then spray hairspray again to set it and you're done! I used it on 80s night and it was sooo cool. I'll take a photo of it in my hair next week.

I'll post again tomorrow. Yesterday I got some nail mail from Llarowe, my first indie polishes!!
