NOTD: Neon Skittle Leopard

Hi guys!

It's been so long since I've posted! Unfortunately uni has been kicking my ass, soooo many assignments! I hate how they have them all due in the same week! Although today I handed in my last assignment FOREVER! Feeling a little nostalgic, but probably not for long because now I've got my exams haha

So to cheer myself up I decided to do a neon leopard skittle! This was using the famous Konad m57 plate, the problem with these is that my nails are too wide! Luckily you can't really tell here that I had to use a small paintbrush and paint the sides. I ordered some Llarowe XL plates which are so much bigger than the Konad plates, so hopefully I'll have more luck with those.

For this I used:
- OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls
- Kleancolor Neon Aqua
- China Glaze Hang Ten Toes
- China Glaze Orange You Hot?
- China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard
- China Glaze Sun-kissed

I just love how fun this look is! The only problem is that in the stamping, the neons came out looking like pastels. At least both neon and pastel are in at the moment, so either are on trend haha

I'm in the process of cropping my massive amount of indie swatches, unfortunately until I get my good camera (yay for a graduation present!), I'm using the camera on my phone. It's oddly better quality then my normal digital camera, but for some of these indies I can't capture how truly awesome they are. So I think I'll either hold off on posting them, or re-swatching them once I get my camera.

See you next time!

A-England - Iseult

Hi again!

It's been so long! I've been wallowing because two of the nails on my swatching hand broke while I was at work last weekend! They're so short and I refuse to make the other good fingers suffer because the other two were weak haha, I imagine that I'll give in and file them down though because it looks a little weird lol!

Today I've got A-England Isuelt to show you. Isuelt is a stunning pale pink with a pearly, sometimes looking blue, shimmer. This colour is perfect for workplaces, I wore it to an interview the other day and it was great!

(With flash)

Apologies for how horrible my cuticles look there! Omg! I didn't even notice when I was taking these photos.

Application and drying time were great, the photos were taken with two coats which is great for a light colour, sometimes they can need up to 3 coats.

I also just got all of my A-England polishes from the sale the other day! So I think I'll be on an A-England polish spree haha! I think  I have 17 of the Mythicals & Legends and I can't wait to swatch them for you guys!

80s Night! Neon skittle

Hi again!

It's been so long since I've posted! Last year uni subjects take up so much time!

The other day at work we had an awesome 80s night where all the bar staff got to dress up! So I decided to pretty up my nails with some neon.

(Revlon - Royal)

You can see that this nail had massive shrinkage, so next time I'll have to not use a quick dry top coat. Revlon Royal is a gorgeous electric blue jelly! The best part about this polish is that it dries super quickly, I probably didn't need to use a top coat, but I hate using a top coat on all my nails except one haha. The application is also great, it goes on really evenly and there's no streaks. This is two coats.

(China Glaze - Hang-Ten Toes, Orange You Hot?, Sun Kissed, & I'm With The Lifeguard)

All four of these are from the China Glaze Summer Neon Collection so they've all got the same formula and finish. Each of the colours have a gorgeous shimmer to them, which you can see in the flash photos and direct sunlight (you couldn't see it in the photos outside though).

Application! Seriously, it's good that these colours are pretty, because the application stinks! It went on a little streaky and the drying time was horrible, with two coats I left it to dry for 2 hours and it still wasn't completely dry, which is why Orange You Hot in these pictures is only one coat, it completely smudged and I had to take it off and try again.

During the week I went to the hairdresser and found these super cool products: Colour Bug! Last summer I really wanted to try hair chalking, but for some reason I couldn't work out how to do it. Colour Bug makes hair chalking super easy! You just need to spray hairspray on your hair and then rub it on your hair then spray hairspray again to set it and you're done! I used it on 80s night and it was sooo cool. I'll take a photo of it in my hair next week.

I'll post again tomorrow. Yesterday I got some nail mail from Llarowe, my first indie polishes!!
